We think that a blog page is a good way to keep our clients up to date with what we are doing- just short notes/ images of what we are currently working on as we progress.

This first post will be a bit of an explainer about why the company was formed. As we have said , TV is a dynamic industry and we work from contract to contract. Whilst it is incredible and no job is the same, it is also unstable. As of January 2024 according to some BECTU studies, almost 80% of freelancers are out of work across film and television. This is for a variety of reasons from changes in how we watch television and advertising revenue to trickle down impacts from writer’s strikes etc.

This presented us with an opportunity, bring our broadcast skills to social media content production. Our digital landscape is changing and the ability for businesses to use social media as a means to reach out to their customers is on the rise. 70% of marketers say that they would pay for quality over quantity when it comes to social media content, and that is where we come in. We are creative, we can work quickly and we have wonderful contacts with a whole range of specialities that we can call upon if we need to such as gimbal and underwater filming. No idea is too complicated and this is such an exciting thing for us to be able to offer.

So as of mid January 2024, Blue Hare Films is in business!

We have some work with a few small and exciting companies already so hopefully when that is complete we can update these blogs with images and snippets of content. Be sure to keep an eye out on our Instagram page too for snapshots of what we are up to!
